Linkedln for New Work

The FP Legal Post describes an article in the Wisconsin Law Journal (subscription required) on how lawyers get work through LinkedIn.

Apparently, one lawyer constantly reviews his Linkedln page so that when one of his "connections adds a connection, he is notified of that. If the new connection is someone that [he] would like to know professionally, he telephones his connection and asks him or her to make an introduction . . .[he claims to have] garnered a number of new cases and clients via this method."

(An even simpler way of doing that is by subscribing to your LinkedIn network updates via RSS - there's an orange RSS icon next to the Network Updates header on your homepage.)
